Chen graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree (Honours) from Cardiff University, United Kingdom in year 2017. After obtaining her Certificate in Legal Practice, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.

She chambered at Messrs SW Tham, Yong & Co. and was involved extensively in land conveyancing and housing development projects. Thereafter she practiced in Messrs Lee Lam & Tan where she was mainly concentrating on land conveyancing and banking area.
